ปรัชญาและจริยธรรมในประเทศไทยได้รับอิทธิพลจากความแตกต่างหลากหลายของวัฒนธรรม ศาสนา และประวัติศาสตร์ ซึ่งอาจมีมุมมองบางประการที่สามารถใช้เพื่อความเข้าใจร่วมกันได้ ได้แก่

พระพุทธศาสนา (เถรวาท) ประเทศไทยนับถือศาสนาพุทธนิกายเถรวาทเป็นส่วนใหญ่ และหลักการนี้มีผลกระทบอย่างลึกซึ้งต่อค่านิยมทางจริยธรรมและศีลธรรมของสังคม คำสอนของพระพุทธเจ้า รวมทั้งอริยสัจสี่และมรรคมีองค์แปดชี้นำบุคคลให้ไปสู่ชีวิตที่มีคุณธรรมและมีจริยธรรม
